Jacky Tsai takes western comic book heroes and thrusts them into traditional Chinese paintings, to reflect the clashing and melding of the two cultures.
A Chinese puppet master pulls the strings of western superheroes, perhaps mocking the paranoia of the US, or the propaganda of China itself.

An off-duty Superman – the quintessential American superhero – is seduced by Chinese beauties while western women cry out for help; Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, swings to their rescue. Once again, the precarious dynamics of China-US relations are satirised.
