Now entering it’s ninth year, the Jealous Prize is an established award in the London Masters Fine Art graduate course calendar. Conceived in 2009 the Jealous Prize is given to MA students from London’s most prestigious Fine Art courses. This year we welcome our first winner from City and Guilds London Art School, Oli Epp. He is joined by Slade Graduate Fleur Yearsley.

Oli Epp graduated in 2017 and has already gone on to hold solo exhibitions with sell out shows and win scholarships and residencies across Europe. Oli’s great talent caught the eyes of the Jealous team and we are very proud to award him this years Jealous Prize.

Oli has been busy in Jealous Print Studios over the last few weeks, creating his very first print edition with our team. Completed in his painterly and humorous style the Carpe Diem print is a 22 colour screenprint and will be placed in the Victoria and Albert Museum’s permanent print collection, joining their growing archive of Jealous Prize winning editions.

Fleur Yearsley caught the attention of Jealous last year at her graduate show at Slade School of Fine Art with her bold canvas’ and tightly formed paintings. Jealous are proud to announce Fleur as a Jealous Prize Winner and we’re thrilled with her print edition transformed from canvas to screenprint.

Fleur’s first print edition with Jealous entitled ‘Broken Deckchair’ is a 7 colour screenprint. Here she tells us about her experience in the Jealous Print Studios:
'I felt very welcome at Jealous straight away and really enjoyed making in the studios. Using True-Grain as a way of screenprinting meant that we were creating a unique image whist working from my painting 'Broken Deckchair'. I was delighted that the print we made at Jealous maintained the gesture of the brush and retained subtle overlaps and nuances’

Both of the Jealous Prize editions will be officially released at the London Original Print Fair.
