Art On A Postcard will be at Maddox Gallery in Mayfair for their third secret auction on 17th of November. With international household names and emerging talent on postcard sized artworks up for auction, the proceeds will go towards the Hepatitis C Trust.

The Hepatitis C Trust's Art on a Postcard Secret Auction opens this November for its 3rd year at Maddox Gallery in Mayfair.

As always, proceeds from the auction will go towards the Hepatitis C Trust’s.

Bidders will be able to view the artworks online and in person at Maddox Gallery ahead of the auction. The works will remain anonymous until the auction has ended, giving a unique opportunity for both established and budding art collectors to get their hands on original works from world renowned artists!

Art on a Postcard has partnered with Dreweatts & Bloomsbury Auctions to do a live webcast auction meaning it will be possible to watch the auction live as well as bid on-line on November 17th 2016.

A list of the contributors’ names will be circulated before the sale. The work will be anonymous until the auction has ended. This is a unique opportunity for both established and budding art collectors to get their hands on original works from world renowned artists.

Art on a Postcard raises money for The Hepatitis C Trust through an annual secret postcard auction and ‘postcard lotteries’ which occur throughout the year. They have had work donated from well established artists such as Peter Blake, Damien Hirst, Harland Miller, Gavin Turk, Rachel Howard, Gilbert and George, Polly Morgan, John Wragg RA, Stephen Chambers RA, Michael Craig-Martin and Cecily Brown as well as emerging talent such as David Shillinglaw, Hayden Kays and Daisy Cook as well as urban artists, Ben Eine, Pure Evil and Inkie and photographers Dougie Wallace and Rankin.

Ann-Marie James: ALCHEMY

Alchemy is an exhibition of beautiful contemporary artworks by Ann-Marie James.

Wessex Museums invited Ann-Marie James to delve into the collections of their four partner museums (Wiltshire Museum, Dorset County Museum, Poole Museum and The Salisbury Museum) and choose an object from each to inspire a series of artworks.

She spent a year creating the finished pieces, all in gold or white. Gold derives from the Bush Barrow Lozenge (Wiltshire Museum) and the tale of Bacchus and Midas (Poole Museum); white from the chalk that the Amesbury Archer (The Salisbury Museum) was originally found in, and the white of the Roman mosaic (Dorset County Museum).

Her techniques included drawing, painting, printmaking and gilding with 24ct gold leaf.
