Teo Ormond-Skeaping

Teo Ormond-Skeaping was born in Devon and lives and works in Krakow. He graduated from Slade in 2013 with an MA in Fine Art after completing his BA in Photography from Falmouth University College in 2010. Teo was awarded the FOTONOW South West Photographer of the Year award in 2012, and was shortlisted for Sony World Photography People’s Choice Moving Image Award and the Red Mansion prize. He is a prolific exhibitor, taking part in exhibitions at the Getty Images Gallery in London, Mall Galleries, Vyner Street Gallery and the Embankment Gallery at Somerset House amongst others. Teo’s work centers upon the exploration and attainment of knowledge and the difficulties, responsibilities and ethical conflicts derived from such a pursuit. Using his work to connect with the viewer through a collection of experiences, conscious or unconscious, Teo’s collection is an acknowledgement of an interaction or process that is considered by the artist to be of a certain value at a certain time.   Teo’s Jealous Prize print edition is now held in the Victoria & Albert Museum Permanent Print Collection.
