Go Figure

from Wednesday 17th September 2014to Sunday 26th October 2014

The representation of the face and the figure in art changes as human needs and artistic expression evolves.

From the early figure images created purely for communication and religious purposes, through the emergence of portraiture, to the modern day selfie, the visage is something that has become very creatively expressive.

From the bright and bold Pop portraits of Warhol, to the delicate sexual misadventure portrayed by Tracey Emin, and the macabre disfigurement from Jake and Dinos Chapman, 'Go Figure' brings together a range of prints depicting the human form from some of the leading contemporary artists, including Gary Hume, Peter Blake, Charming Baker, Pam Glew, Ian Francis and Allen Jones.
