ART15 Weekend Release Part 2: THE JEALOUS PRIZE WINNERS 2014/15
So, after a fantastic opening night at Art15, team Jealous have been thrilled to receive such a great reaction to the stand and all of the new releases we have on display from Charming Baker, Jacky Tsai, Kate Gibb, Joe Webb, Rowan Newton, Dave White, Cedric Christie, Gavin Turk and more.

We are also delighted to introduce to you the first of the Jealous Prize Winners. Each year we choose one Fine Art graduate MA from their end of year shows at the leading London art colleges.
We then offer each winner a print residency at our studios to create a piece based on the work we have seen in their shows. The portfolio is launched at Art15, shown in our galleries and online and all the prints are entered into the V&A permanent print collection.
Thanks to those who made the opening!

Jealous Prize Winners at Art 15
Jealous Prize Winner 14/15: Heather Fahy MA - Camberwell
Heather is perhaps the artist in this year’s prize that has the closest relationship to print. Camberwell is a fantastic breeding ground for printmakers and has provided some of our best previous prize winners. Heather’s work for the prize continues a series of photographic and collage work that explores space, shape and form within the city and their relationship. Brutal but beautiful cropped shapes of high-rise buildings are placed against a morning or evening sky, imagery that conjures up visions of the everyday commute to and from the city, a momentary calm from the noise of the urban environment.

Jealous Prize Winner 14/15: Aimee Henderson - Slade School of Art
Graduating from Slade School of Art, Aimée makes beautifully delicate forms through drawing, painting and collage. A repetition of marks and splashes of colour sit against a wash of natural tones to create subtle textures across the work. The edition will be a new work based on a series of circular paintings that Aimee has been working on in early 2015. She will be hand embellishing each print, bringing a sculptural and unique element into her edition.

Jealous Prize Winner 14/15: Ozlem Demirel MA - Chelsea School of Art
A graduate from Chelsea School of Art, Ozlem makes colourful and vibrant sculptures that play with light and our perceptions of space and form. Her works compromise of natural and industrial materials with a strong emphasis on line, form and vernacular architecture. Jealous will be creating a new multiple of her ladder sculpture, printing on to different coloured Perspex and fixing these in to long strips of bamboo.

Jealous Prize Winner 14/15: Paul Schneider -
Paul Schneider studied for his Postgraduate Diploma at the Royal Academy of Art and for his BA at Camberwell, UAL.
Since graduating from Royal Academy Schools, Paul has completed a residency in Brussels as well as a solo exhibition in the Jerwood Visual Arts Project Space. His bold graphic imagery captures you immediately, taking everyday symbols and pictograms and reimagining them, asking the viewer to reevaluate their importance. Playful and colourful too, we wanted to incorporate all these elements into his prize-winning edition.
Paul has created a huge diptych for the Jealous Prize launch, of which Desert Island Dreams is one part, reworking two emoji symbols, that although appear familiar are somewhat strange and different.
