Orlanda Broom ‘The Lost Traces of Somewhere’
Jealous are very proud to present a solo exhibition by Orlanda Broom (yes that is her real name) entitled ‘The Lost Traces of Somewhere’. The exhibition features 11 original works on board and canvas, as well as Broom’s first limited edition print release with Jealous.
Her layered, textured and resin-coated mixed media pieces are a journey through a tropical paradise that transport the viewer into a unique and mystical world.
The exhibition runs from Thursday 3rd July until Sunday 20th July, 2014
Jealous Gallery, 27 Park Road, London, N8 8TE.
Charming Baker and War Child Print Release
Jealous and Charming Baker would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who purchased the new Charming Baker print. All profits went to the fantastic War Child UK charity and we raised a staggering £40,000!
We presented a framed Gold edition to Angelina Jolie, Stella McCartney and William Hague at the opening of the summit, to see the video (and a cameo by our very own Director, Dario) follow the link
Dave Buonaguidi: New Print Release
Jealous newcomer, Dave Buonaguidi, has just made an extra special delivery to the Gallery! He was inspired to create the ‘Dalston Sur Arc’ series after a skiing trip to France. When in the Alps he saw a pound shop, much like any you’d find on a street in Dalston, in the middle of an otherwise quaint Alpine village.
He instantly took to his Dalston postcard collection, juxtaposing scenes of the high street with beautiful Alpine scenery. The series explores the bizarre and surreal modern day nightmare, of big brands (at top prices) pitting themselves against nature’s backdrop.
The litho print series of 100 is now available in store and online at £70.
St Gildas’ School at Jealous
The Gallery played host to the children of St. Gildas' school last week. Not only did we hang their beautiful creations on the walls, but each class came into the Gallery to learn how to screenprint with our Master Printer, Matthew Rich.
A huge thank you to all who came to support the students of St Gildas’ and for donating to the School.
