Sir Peter Blake is an English Pop artist, best known for his depictions of pop bands such as the Beatles, during the Sixties. Blake's unique take on Pop combines drawn and painted images with collaged elements from packaging, advertising and other art works. Blake was made a Royal Academician in 1981, and a CBE in 1983, he has had major retrospectives at Tate and Pallant House. Blake's screenprints are exceptionally well finished, and achieve a consistently high market value.
